Citation of GBIF-data

Every download in GBIF get´s it´s own DOI. For example, I tried to downlaod all passer domesticus data via browser and got this as an recommended citation.

GBIF.org (14 February 2025) GBIF Occurrence Download https://doi.org/10.15468/dl.cs2ywu.

I would like to write an Email to Tanja Weibulat (contact person for land/GBIF) (https://www.snsb.info/staff_weibulat.html) and ask what´s the recommended way is to get the right citation via API. However, I am not sure I am not sure what we get via API - only a species list + coordinates? What is there, what is missing?
